The AEA has completed an alternative energy insight day at City University for 35 students in Year 12, (aged 17-18) from Harris City Academy. The day was organised and facilitated by members of the AEA and some activities were coordinated and delivered by Student Ambassadors from City University.
Activities during the day included; visiting the photovoltaic array at the university, a workshop on global warming and alternative energy sources, a Copenhagen Summit 2009 simulation and a visit to the engineering department. The group was divided into teams for the day and they competed for points during some activities – we are pleased to announce Team Four was the overall winner with 19 points.
The day was a fantastic opportunity for the AEA team to work together with City University to both engage young people from a school in London and involve undergraduate students from City who were able to join the AEA team for the day.
